Darryll Holland is a professional flat racing jockey who has ridden for some of racing’s leading trainers such as Luca Cumani, Geoff Wragg, Mark Johnston, Peter Wosley, Vincent Allet and Barry Hills. Also acting as an assistant trainer while occupying his role as stable jockey.
The 48-year-old flat racing veteran got off to a fast start in his career. In 1991, he was the British Champion Apprentice and won the Lester Award for Apprentice Jockey of the Year. He also received two further Lester awards for the ride of the year on Just James & Double Trigger, and within a few years he was a regular presence in Group One races.
A multiple Group One winner achieving over 30 Group One race wins worldwide, including the Coronation Cup, the Dewhurst Stakes, and the Singapore Derby. Darryll has ridden in 20 countries including Britain, USA, Australia, Trinidad, Singapore, Sweden, Austria, South Korea, and Mauritius and has most recently been competing in Woodbine, Canada.
Darryll holds a BHA racehorse training license and will be the head trainer at Harraton court stables.
